Albania represented at 2019 IMMAF-WMMAA Senior World Championships in Manama, Bahrain

Albania will be represented at the 2019 International Mixed Martial Arts Federation-World Mixed Martial Arts Association Senior World Championships of Amateur MMA. The country's sole representative in the combat sports event is Marco Doda, 23.

While Doda was born and raised in Italy, his family is originally from Mirdita, Albania. As an amateur MMA fighter, he made his debut on February 2, 2018 and now holds a record of 9 wins and 3 losses.

In November 2018, Doda won one out of two bouts in the IMMAF-WMMAA Unified World Championships at the Khalifa Sports City Arena in Manama, Bahrain. He previously competed in Italian Fighting Championship, Praedator Fighting Championship, Venator Fighting Championship, The Golden Cage, Federation Italian Grappling MMA, Cage Warriors Academy and Power Nation Fighting Championship.

Doda was born in Barletta, Italy but he is now based in Milan, Italy. Competing in the men's middleweight division, which is at 83.9kg (185lbs), he is the only fighter representing Albania at the 2019 IMMAF-WMMAA Senior World Championships.

Including Doda, a total of 32 fighters will compete in the men's middleweight division. One of them is Giovanni Edoardo Rufino of Italy.

Hosted by the Bahrain MMA Federation (BMMAF) under the auspices of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, the 2019 IMMAF-WMMAA Senior World Championships will take place at the Khalifa Sports City from November 10-16, 2019. It will be held in parallel with the 2019 Junior World Championships.

Audience entry to the arena is free. The action will be streamed live internationally at IMMAF TV.

On November 10, 2019, there will be a tournament draw and the competition will run from November 11-14, 2019 and on November 16, 2019 starting at 11 a.m. (UTC +3) each day. All matches take place under Unified Amateur MMA Rules.

The athletes participating in the 2019 IMMAF-WMMAA Senior World Championships are subject to medical and administrative clearance. Check the complete list of fighters on Conan Daily.

Denmark's Ole Laursen shortlisted for KHK World Championship in Bahrain

  KHK World Championship belt Ole "Iron Fist" Laursen, 42, has a chance to become the inaugural KHK World Champion. He is the only fighter from Denmark in the shortlist of mixed martial artists released by Brave Combat Federation and Khalid Bin Hamad Al Khalifa Mixed Martial Arts. Finland will be represented at the 2019 International Mixed Martial Arts Federation-World Mixed Martial Arts Association Senior World Championships of Amateur MMA. The combat sports event will take place at the Khalifa Sports City in Manama, Bahrain from November 10-16, 2019. Audience entry to the arena is free.
